SRC Planeta is the leading organization within Russian Federal Service for
Hydrometeorology and Environmental Monitoring (RosGidroMet) for the development
and exploitation of operational meteorological, oceanographic and Earth observation
space systems (GOMS, METEOR, OKEAN-01, RESURS-01).
SRC Planeta performs acquisition, pre-processing, thematic processing,
archiving and dissemination of information downlinked from all Russian operational
satellite systems for Earth remote sensing (including RESURS-01 No.3 and No.4).
Currently, acquisition and archiving of data from RESURS-01 No.3 is performed only
by RosGigroMet ground stations at SRC Planeta (Moscow) and West-Siberian Regional
Center (Novosibirsk). Registration of full data stream from RESURS-01 No.4 (61.44 Mbps)
is performed only by SRC Planeta.
